Vercel has unfortunately closed their open source sponsorship program, meaning we would incur in $20/month charges starting in January 1. Despite claiming that the program will resume soon, I have talked with a Vercel employee and they have told me it will not reopen before the beginning of next year.

For this reason, we are now migrating to Netlify, which still offers an open source plan 2.

In practical terms, this migration doesn't change much in the deployment flow, since both services provide very similar functionality.
